Ecuador has four geographical zones: the Andes, the Amazon rainforest, the coast and the Galapagos Islands. There are endless reasons why you should visit this small, yet very diverse and interesting country. Ecuador is one of 17 countries in the world classified by UNESCO as mega-diverse with an incredible variety of birds, mammals and orchids per km2.

The famous Galapagos Islands were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1978, and they are home to stunning volcanic landscapes, turquoise waters and hundreds of endemic species. Ecuador has the highest active volcano in the world, Cotopaxi.

The capital is Quito. The air of this city is crystal clear and there are no skyscrapers in the city. Among the places that stand out in terms of the number of interested tourists, but also in terms of their unusualness and beauty, are the Plaza and Bolivar theaters, the Mama Cuchara and Napo cultural centers, and the large cathedral.

On the other hand, you can observe the splendor of tropical forests from civilization and the city of Banjos. It is surrounded by the Tungurahua volcano below which you can enjoy hot springs and beautiful nature like the Pailon de Diablo waterfall. Banjos was also created for the spiritual strengthening of travelers, since it is considered to be the right place for meditation and merging with nature.

Fans of Spanish colonial architecture will definitely like the real pearl of Ecuador - the city of Cuenca. The high cathedral with a blue roof and cobbled alleys will take us back to ancient times. An ideal vacation cannot be conceived without unique beaches and swimming in the sea. If you head to the famous "Route de Sol", do not miss the hippie village of Montanita where you can learn how to surf to the sounds of the surroundings and reggae beach bars.

You can start learning about traditional handicrafts at the imaginative market in Otavalo. The folklore traditions and filigree achievements of the people of the Andes are present here in the most picturesque way.

Ecuador is a destination for all year round, but each region of Ecuador has its own optimal time to visit.

Exotic beaches, with a beautiful view and the opportunity to explore the beautiful archipelago, will refresh your adventurous spirit and provide you with phenomenal landscapes.
