Immerse yourself in the mystical world of Maya in Central America! Guatemala - a country where many alternative travelers come to enjoy Tikal, one of the largest and most beautiful Mayan sites in the world. Much like Angkor Wat in Cambodia, these beautiful pyramids are overgrown with dense jungle. Mystical forests, a tour of palaces, temples, public buildings through the jungle, interaction with animals, birds - all of this awaits you in Guatemala!

There are too many happenings here, and even the shortest route takes you to completely different places, with new challenges and surprises. Almost all tourists flock to Antigua, a beautiful city nestled between three volcanoes. Antigua is a city that is special in many ways and is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Central America. It is a colonial city of clean streets, full of life, intertwining modern, traditional and cosmopolitan. Great restaurants, nightclubs, socializing and dating - you can find it all here!

Guatemala City is the capital of this Central American state. The original settlement in this area was founded by the Maya more than 2000 years ago. The remains of that settlement are still in the center of the city. Today Guatemala has more than three million inhabitants. It is the largest city in Guatemala and all of Central America.

Those looking for lesser-known places go to visit Lake La Izabal or Nebaj, a Mayan village hidden under the auspices of the Cuchumatanes Mountains. Guatemala has a Mayan heritage everywhere. The ancient ruins of Tikal offer a view of Mayan culture with squares, pyramids, temples and a museum.

Lake Atitlan is a secluded and hidden world where another time and other rules apply. The distance from civilization makes this place different. Seven volcanoes surround the lake, which is inhabited by primitive Mayan tribes, who live according to their own laws.

There is no bad weather to visit Guatemala, although the rainy season or Invierno (winter) makes it difficult to navigate unpaved roads from mid-May to mid-October, and in November and December to the north and east. The dry season or Verano (summer) is from November to April, which means steamy and warm along the coast and pleasantly warm days in the mountains. The high season lasts from Christmas to Easter and from June to August.

Check out why thousands of travelers come to this heavenly place every year. People come and stay. Or when they leave they come back.
